Cross-Border MA Programmes
Peking University HSBC Business School (PHBS) offers 2-year postgraduate study programmes leading to three respective Master degrees of Peking University: Master in Economics, Master in Finance and Master in Management Studies, plus an MBA.
Of the three Master-degree programmes, there are two study pathways for the Master in Finance and Master in Management Studies: one is a domestic pathway for study, where students can complete all of their courses in Shenzhen Campus in China. With opening the UK Campus of PHBS, students on the domestic pathway are offered an opportunity in coming to the UK for Short Visiting Study of up to 2 teaching terms, and taking courses with a credit transferable between the two Campus.
Another route is an International Pathway for cross-border study, where students are required to study across the two Campuses: one in the UK Campus for 9 months or three teaching terms (2019-2020) as the first year of study, and then move to Shenzhen Campus to complete the remaining period of 15 months study in China as the second year.
The international pathway aims to provide students with more international experiences during their study in Peking University.
PHBS’s UK campus offers two cross-border master’s programs. These programs are two-year, full-time programs, culminating with a final thesis. Students spend the first portion of their study at the PHBS UK Campus and then the second portion in Shenzhen, China at the main PHBS campus. International students in these programs have the opportunity to learn alongside Chinese peers in an environment of cross-cultural dialogue. These programs aim to foster and empower students, allowing them to improve not only their subject-related skills and knowledge, but also their critical thinking and analytical ability to challenge business problems and economic issues.
The PHBS UK Campus currently offers the following two cross-border master programmes: Master of Finance and Master of Management.
Tuition fees for the PHBS’s cross-border programs are £12,000 GBP per year and must be paid in full in the first week of each academic year.
