In 2014, The Duke of York founded Pitch@Palace to provide a platform to amplify and accelerate the work of Entrepreneurs. Pitch@Palace gives Entrepreneurs the opportunity to meet the people who can help make their business dreams become a reality. Pitch@Palace guides, helps and connects Entrepreneurs and early-stage businesses with potential supporters, including CEOs, Influencers, Angels, Mentors and Business Partners.

42 talented Entrepreneurs are selected for each event and, following participation, remain within the Pitch@Palace for future support and development. Alumni Entrepreneurs continue to receive ongoing support, introductions and connections to the Pitch@Palace UK and Global network.

The Duke of York has frequently demonstrated that he is strongly committed to developing links between the UK and China. The Duke of York is the second member of the British Royal Family to visit China after the visit of the Queen of England in 1986. His Royal Highness works to build economic prosperity by focusing on Young People & Skills, Science, Technology & Engineering and Entrepreneurship. On April 5th, 2016, Chinese President Xi Jinping met HRH The Duke of York at the Great Hall of the People. The Duke of York introduced the Pitch@Palace project to the President and expressed his wish to bring Pitch@Palace to China as part of the effort to build stronger links between Chinese and British Entrepreneurs 2017.
